I was visiting from CA and I super needed my Starbucks mocha. We stopped here because it's convenient. Well, more like 12 miles away, but I guess things are just super spread out here. I was telling my friend that in LA we'd have passed like 5 Starbucks in the distance between his place and this store. I wasn't in Kansas anymore. Anyway, it was 8am-ish and I was expecting the place to be a zoo. To my surprise it was empty inside and the drive thru was almost clear. The lack of a wait time is super nice, but the emptiness made thr atmoaphere kind of blah. There was no one inside hanging out or doing homework or anything. I admit it was a strange experience seeing a Starbucks store devoid of college students marathoning in their summer classes. So...minus one star for being a generally uninteresting location. The service was pretty decent. The people were polite and professional. They didn't go out of their way, but they weren't like the assholes in LA I'm used to putting up with. Barista work does suck, I get it. Back home they make sure you know it. That wasn't the case here. It actually seemed like they were grateful for a customer so they'd actually have something to do. Overall I have no complaints about the service. Lastly it was clean. Okay, the stores I'm used to are clean. Enough. It might be the general lack of traffic and whatnot, but this place was pristine. The building is obviously pretty new. But wow. The napkin despensers were full, the cream and sugar counter was clean and organized, and the window on the counter display fridge was devoid of fingerprints. So super kudos.

This is a quiet location. It is never too busy and a good location for us after the gym. Try their egg white and turkey bacon sandwich.

I visited the Starbucks at 1761 Rio Rancho Blvd., SE, Rio Rancho, NM (505) 892-4758. My son and I went through the drive through. My son knew what he wanted, so he shouted his order across me and was trying to tell the woman what he wanted. She asked what the size was, but my son started to repeat the entire order when she rudely interrupted him. Then I placed an order for a breakfast sandwich. She said she would check on it, but I changed my mind and wanted an Anytime sandwich instead. She told me there wasn't one, but then, she said, "You need to let me finish talking before you speak." Honestly, I paid for my son's drink, my sandwich, and then drove away. I felt as if she did something to my food and my son's drink, so we threw it away. When I paid, she was rude also. She handed me the items I ordered turned away, and said in a snotty tone, "You're welcome." I will not be going back there.

Close to home and i love that they have drive thru. The wait is usually not that long and they open pretty early.
